        The sTEC is derived from the code observables on L1 and L2 frequencies. The calibration of the sTEC is obtained by using the method described by Ciraolo et al., 2007 [1], which evaluated the &#8220;differential code biases&#8221; (DCBs) for each station-satellite arc by exploiting a combination of code and phase observables. Although this calibration technique is robust and widely used, especially for mid-latitude and low-latitude studies, it has the intrinsic limitation of not being operating in real-time. This is because it assumes the availability of complete arcs of observations. To overcome this limitation and for the purposes of the real-time operation, the DCBs are evaluated for each station-satellite couple and for a given day by computing its mean value on the previous 3 days.
