EISCAT Remote receiver station, Kiruna, Sweden
(KIR)Description
The EISCAT receiver station in Kiruna is hosted by the Swedish Institute of Space Physics (IRF). The 32 m receiver antenna was part of the fully steerable tristatic UHF system 1981-2012 and since 2012 it is part of the tristatic VHF radar. The Kiruna VIPIR ionosonde is also located at this station.
